Clear Story Data
Project done in 2015. A redesign for ClearStory Data, SaaS product that provides solutions enabling business users to discover, analyze and consume data at scale from different data sources.
Responsibilities: Information architecture, Competitive analysis, Workflows, Journey maps, Wireframes, Interaction design, Mockups, Prototypes, Visual design, Usability Studies, Style guide, Icons
Brainstorming
Based on the user research analysis of 'Focus Groups', following Lean UX methodology where 1or 2 representatives participated from cross functional groups to define business requirements. For every "task" to be accomplished by the user, a journey map was visualized, defining the process that a user could go through in order to accomplish the goal.
Wireframing
Clickthrough wireframes were created. They were used for Usability Testing along with Think-Aloud Protocol and Cognitive Walkthrough with 7 users which helped evaluate and observe users task-based experience. Helped to identify frustrating and confusing parts and the feedback helped to iterate the wireframes twice, before going into visual design stage.
Design Guide
A start was made to building a branding style guide that contains visual design elements (logo, color, typography, iconography, etc.). This guide provides rules of thumb and context notes to help current/future designers achieve brand consistency when creating assets for print, web, mobile, etc
Mockups
It wasn't the most prettiest user interface, but during my tenure we concentrated on the functionality and let that drive the product. Some samples of the final UI are documented here.
